EUR 1.2 bln worth of foreign direct investments attracted in 2015

As a result of implemented reforms, Serbia has attracted foreign direct investments totaling EUR 1.2 billion in the first nine months of 2015, Serbian Minister of Economy Zeljko Sertic said late Friday.

That is 20% more than in the previous period, which is serious progress, Sertic told at the first annual convention of the Serbian Economic Senate.

Serbia’s objective is to become the top investment destination in Southeastern Europe, as well as an example to EU member states, Sertic said.

The Senate – founded in Belgrade in late February last year was the first economic senate to be established in the former Yugoslavia.
